About Us
Innovative Play-Based Jewish Education
At Shorashim Hebrew School we understand that children learn best through hands-on activities, music, theater, movement, games, and connecting with their community.
Our classes meet in mixed-age groups to provide the children greater depth of learning through the experience of transitioning from the role of a novice to the role of a mentor. Activities are designed with different levels and extensions built into the curriculum, to meet each child where they are in their learning journey.​
Our Story
Shorashim Hebrew School is run by the Shorashim Parent Committee, formed in May of 2024. Our program is community developed and directed, representing families with different levels of observance and experiences.

Our name -- Shorashim -- translates to roots, representing the growth and learning of our children, the grassroots effort in building our program, and the roots of Hebrew words that our children will learn.
